Fright Night Cinema Review
- Lemax Spooky Town

Hi everyone!

If you’re a Lemax Spooky Town collector like me, you know that every year brings new surprises and delightful details to discover. This piece is new to the UK for 2025, after being a Michaels exclusive last year. This piece truly stands out in my collection and it is the Fright Night Cinema. This one has quickly become a favorite, and I wanted to take a moment to share why I love it so much.

First off, the detail on this piece is absolutely incredible. Lemax always does a great job, but Fright Night Cinema takes it to another level. From the textured brickwork to the tiny movie posters, every inch of the building feels alive with story and atmosphere. It’s like stepping back in time to a vintage haunted movie theater—and I’m here for it.

What really caught my eye is the lighting. The way this piece is lit makes it pop on any display. The warm glow from the cinema signs, and the internal lights create a cozy but spooky ambiance that draws your attention instantly. The banners on the sides of the building are also illuminated, which is such a cool touch. It’s details like that that really elevate a display and make the whole scene feel dynamic.

The paintwork is another highlight. The rich colors and aged textures give it a worn, realistic charm—perfect for a haunted theater that’s still showing the classics of horror cinema. It strikes that perfect balance between spooky and whimsical, which is what makes Lemax’s Spooky Town line so fun to collect in the first place.

Another detail I absolutely love is the front sign above the entrance—it cleverly reads “I Rotting Now,” a fun, creepy twist of play on words. It’s little wordplay touches like this that make the piece so charming and full of personality. It instantly sets the tone for what kind of “cinema” this is supposed to be. Also, if you peer through the big main window, you’ll see ghosts hovering inside the theater. This is such a brilliant touch—it adds movement and life (or un-life!) to the piece, creating an eerie atmosphere that feels like something is truly going on inside. It gives the display that haunted magic that makes Spooky Town so special.

Overall, Fright Night Cinema is a really likeable piece—one that brings character and glow to my Halloween village. Whether you’re just starting your Spooky Town collection or looking for a standout addition, I highly recommend giving this one a spotlight in your own display. It’s spooky season magic at its finest.

Our verdict

In the end, we’re giving the Fright Night Cinema a whopping 4.5 Pumpkins out of 5. The price is slightly on the higher side at £90, and this does not include any sound or Animation, however the phenomenal lighting on this building really makes this building feel alive.

Thanks for reading—and as always, may your nights be spooky and your villages delightfully eerie. 🎃
